This desalination plant was commissioned on July 7th, 2019. It consists of two ROT units of capacity 500 m3/day. Those were underperforming at a production of 240 m3/day with only one ROT unit which was regularly under breakdown. The RPUC has successfully increased the production of that ROT Unit to 460 m3/day with the introduction of a new Isobarix Energy Recovery device.
A new contenerised ROT unit with capacity 350 m3/day was commissioned in September 2024. As of end of December 2024 the three ROT units are producing 1125 m3/day.
