Creve Coeur Reservoir Water Balance

The Creve Coeur Reservoir has a capacity of 1,000 m³ and receives water from the Pointe Venus Desalination Plant and the Fond la Digue borehole. While the primary function of this reservoir is to distribute water, it also transfers water to the Terre Rouge Reservoir. Additionally, water tankers from RPUC and RodClean collect water from the reservoir for their respective operations. The table provides a summary of the total water received, transferred, and collected by water tankers between November 26 and December 25, 2024.

Creve Coeur Reservoir Distribution Frequency

This reservoir supplies water in Fond la Digue, Port-Mathurin, Creve Coeur and Anse aux Anglais. The chart below shows the frequency of distribution for each of the above villages.


The average distribution frequency in Port-Mathurin and Fond la Digue is stabilized around 24 days, while in Anse aux Anglais is still 8 days. With the increase in production from English Bay desalination, the frequency can be decreased to around 22 days as well as maintaining the frequency in adjacent villages such as terre rouge and Jean Tac.

Hauteur Accacia Reservoir Distribution Frequency

This reservoir provides water to Camp du Roi, Fond Camp du Roi, Pointe Monier, and parts of Port-Mathurin. The chart below illustrates the distribution frequency for each of these areas.

This section primarily receives water from the Creve Coeur Reservoir and the Cygangue source. It features two reservoirs located in Terre Rouge, with a combined storage capacity of approximately 700 m³. These reservoirs supply water to villages including Roseaux, Vangard, Terre Rouge, Jean Tac, and Caverne Provert. The chart below illustrates the distribution frequency of these villages.

This section consists of four service reservoirs that supply water to different villages as shown in the table below.
