The RPUC has completed the desilting of Anse Raffin Dam.
The project started in November 2023 and was completed in December 2023. A total of 15500 m3 of top soil was removed from the dam. This top soil was distributed to local farmers.
By the end of the desilting of the dam, the capacity of the dam was increased by 15500 m3, which is equivalent more than 15 x 1000 m3 reservoirs.
With the recent rains that has been showering the island, the dam is consistently being filled.
We are working on water treatments to be able to inject the collected water into the potable water system.
